"This is an Edison Record" - a 2nd Grade mini-lesson

Today I shared a mini-lesson with two Second Grade classes. Explaining what a record is and how it is played was an interesting experience. The teacher was reviewing various people in history who have been credited with various accomplishments and Thomas Edison was one of the people discussed.
A follow up lesson in February will feature a cylinder phonograph.

What a great thing to share with the little ones! They are not jaded yet at that age. Too bad you couldn't bring an actual machine in to show them in person. But I understand that would have been difficult. Great job!
