In Germany, the US Prohibition was subject to recordings as well.

Among others, I remember "Ober, schnell noch eine Runde her" by Willi Ostermann, 1929 (a popular song about a beer hall guest asking the waiter to hurry up, fearing that the Prohibition might reach Germany before his beer is served - "Trinken woll'n wir, eh dass uns bedroht - genau wie in Amerika das Alkoholverbot..."),

and "Meine Amerikareise" by Weiß Ferdl (1929 on Beka), a humorous monologue by a popular Munich stage comedian, who sings "Amerikaner, Amerikaner, hast kein Pschorr-Bräu, kein Paulaner..." (continuing to list the names of Munich breweries which were financially stricken by the loss of the US export market).

Oh yeah! I forgot I had that one. I also have the Waring's Pennsylvanians version too.

There is "What'll I Do If the Mississippi Goes Dry?" 1928 on Edison by B.A. Rolfe and his Palais D'Or Orchestra 52261L!
