Al was popular with women. This is not surprising. Musicians, especially ones who also sing lead vocals, get hit on all the time.
Yup, it's the same for phonograph collectors as well. Am I right guys? 8-)

The best book on Al Bowlly. Ray Pallet has done an incredible job here and it is a must have book for any Dance Band fans.
You can always simply buy the book from the author and get him to sign it for you.

Ray Pallet is also the editor of "Memory Lane Magazine" which has been continuously published for over 50 years and still going strong. I believe it is the last surviving publication on music of the 20's, 30's & 40's. Always a fun read. Check out a sample here.

AND, to top it all, Memory Lane also publish their own CD's . The latest edition even has some never heard of Al Bowlly recordings.
