Born In Hard Luck - Chris Bouchillon

Post by Curt A »

"Born In Hard Luck" - For those of you who are unfamiliar with this song by Chris Bouchillon, you will find the roots to Woody Guthrie's and Bob Dylan's talking blues style. This record was recorded in 1927 and is hilarious - Chris was also a South Carolina artist, which fits right in with our down home Carolina style. I have put up a copy of this recording, along with Chis & Ethel Bouchillon's version of Adam & Eve.

If you have never heard of Pine Ridge, Arkansas and the Jot 'em Down Store, you might enjoy listening to a Lum & Abner recording as well...

You can find these and other bits of strange entertainment on our website: www.carolinaphonosociety.com

What else do you have to do on a weekend that makes more sense???
