From Tchaikovsky's popular D-Major violin concerto. Here played with an appropriate combination lyricism and wistfulness by Sascha Jacobsen, who (I believe) enjoyed a long and happy career for decades beyond when this was waxed.
The Columbia engineers did an admirable job capturing this, it sounds quite good for an acoustical (1921) violin recording.

Very nice indeed. The Columbia studio group has a few rough moments..which is not unusual in that studio.

True there is a few rough spots in the orchestral playing.
