Here's one of my favourite recordings: Look At The World And Smile, by Jean Goldkette and His Orchestra. A great hot dance recording with plenty of bass and a nice "duet" by Joe Venuti and Eddy Lang near the end. Recorded February 1, 1927 and issued on Victor 20472-B.

To my taste, 1927 was possibly the very year for good music. Thanks for posting.

WDC I agree. They made some very nice records that year, among the best.
