Re: Ben Bernie on DeForest Phonofilm "Sweet Georgia Brown" 1925
While we have discussed the DeForest phonofilms on other phono boards in the past, I am pleased to see this brought up once again. "Sweet Georgia Brown," along with the other three phonofilms (i.e., "Medley of Songs," "Titina," and "Craving") are nothing less than pure magic to the eyes as well as the ears of 20s dance band fans. What a rare and unusual treat to actually see these vintage performances!

These are indeed amazing. Does anyone know of high quality transfers of all of these on DVD? I get a little frustrated by YouTube sometimes...and the transfers on the RedHotJazz site are puny and afflicted (as usual) with mind-bending wow.

I haven't seen this one before - I think its great. I'll have to look out the other ones that rocky highlighted. Thanks for bringing it up.
