Chicago Rhyhtm Kings - There'll be some Changes made

Post by WDC »

I finally found one of my very favorites on a French Polydor pressing:

There'll be some Changes made

I've found a new Baby

April 1928, Brunswick 4001 masters

Gee that's an excellent transfer. The sound is superb!
I know your transfers are always top notch, but do you think in this case the French Polydor pressing has something to do with the clarity?
I don't have any French polydors, so I'm not familiar with the quality of their records.
All I know is it sounds really good through my little lap-top speakers. I'll have to plug in the big ones & play it again with a few extra db's :)

I've just played these through my larger stereo and they sound good. Two excellent tunes Norman. I sometimes think you must have your own time portal back to the late 1920's as you always seem to get hot disks in such good condition :D

Thanks for the praising words, I really wished I had this time machine. It would make collecting cylinders also waaay more easier. ;)
French records are generally smoother than UK and some US pressings. This one just was very, very, very dirty and it came out beautiful after cleaning.
