Edision's "FIFTIEST ANNIVERSARY - THE EDIPHONE" Cylinder

I have found an offering of a Blue Amberol Cylinder which
states "1877-Fiftiest Anniversary-1927" on one side and
"The Ediphone" on the other side of the cylinder top.

He is saying it was for convention held and was given to
participants who attended. It is believed very few copies
have survived. Cylinder is big bucks.

Has anyone seen or heard this record. It reportedly is a speech
by Thomas Edison Jr. and it was to play on an ediphone, so it is
like a 2 min speed cylinder, even though it is a blue amberol in
shape.

I have attached photos. Please advise if anyone has seen or knows
value before I buy. Thanks

I have seen and heard a copy of this cylinder.

It's not Thomas A. Edison Jr. speaking, but Edison himself.

The cylinder is recorded at 150 lines per inch, so it cannot be played back on a typical Edison Phonograph without occasionally resetting the stylus in a different line. It will play back fine on an Edison Business Phonograph, an Ediphone, or a Dictaphone.

And so of course you run the risk of damage each time the stylus skips grooves. If you are going to spend "big bucks" (lie about how much?) it might be worth another $50 to find an old Ediphone someplace on which to play it.

I have a copy of this cylinder record and the voice doesn't sound like Thomas Edison. I am uncertain if it is Charles Edison. This cylinder reoord is not the same recording as the 50th Anniversary Diamond Disc. Here is a link to the Diamond Disc on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmZIDEFh6-c

I wonder if 50th Anniversary Cylinder record is the voice of Nelson Durand,President of the Ediphone Division. In this record, the speaker discusses a few of Edison's famous inventions including the phonograph and the light bulb, then talks about the Ediphone and its benefits. Each sentence begins with "The Ediphone..."

The other very rare Ediphone record is titled "Mr. Edison's Personal Remarks for the Ediphone" recorded in 1917 and distributed to Ediphone dealers, does contain Thomas Edison's voice as well as Nelson Durand.

I stand corrected. Evidently the cylinder I heard (about 10 years ago) was Mr. Edison's Personal Remarks for the Ediphone. My apologies...

Thanks to everyone on the Recording. As I didn't want to spend "Big bucks" without
ideas and help, you all did that for me... and I thank you. I had heard about
this cylinder in the past, no I see another one, which is great. Again, not a
common item.

I am envious of the Edison "Voice" Cylinder, as that is highly unique to say the
least. The "Let us not forget" was the only one I know had his voice.

I found my first "Let us not forget" in a box of cylinders I bought with an Amberola
30 machine years ago. Owner said the machine did not work, but he wanted $75 for
the machine and cylinders. I bought and ran to the car.

Got home and I found they had turned the governor screw so tight that
it stopped the machine. Turned it back and worked perfect.

In case anyone was interested in hearing the "50th Anniversary of the Ediphone" recording, there is a sound file on this eBay page:

I've not been able to find the sound file anywhere else online.

Out of curiosity, what do these cylinders usually go for? "Big Bucks" doesn't give me a clue... unless you are referring to deer.

typically $400 to $600 for an original, good condition "50th Anniversary of the Ediphone" cylinder.
