I bought this record a few days back, not only because I like the "gems from" series, but also because I'm a big Laurel & Hardy fan. In case you are unfamiliar with their oeuvre, L&H made a movie called "The Bohemian Girl" in 1936, based on Balfe's operette.
It's an Australian pressing, so I was quite surprised to find it on the other side of the world. Gramophoneshane helped me to date the recording, most likely it was done in March 1927.
There are a few distortions during loud passages, but it's still enjoyable.

Re: Gems from Behemian Girl - Light Opera Company
I too am a fan of these "Gems from..." discs and own many of them, including the older acoustical version of Bohemian Girl, but I have never heard the electrical before. It seems to be more expansively sung, and very enjoyable. Thanks for posting.
