Here's another recording by one of my favorite orchestra's. I don't know what it is, but you can instantly recognise any Johnny Hamp recording without looking at the label. It has a certain punch, a sort of staccato way of playing, and always up-tempo.
I proudly present to you Johnny Hamp's Kentucky Serenaders with their rendition of "Gorgeous". Recorded May 27, 1927 and issued on Victor 20759-B. The vocalist is Hal White.

Listening to this now - its great! I agree you can always tell a Hamp disk. They always roll along with a certain swing to the rhythm. I have a few of his diks in my collection and I think they are all great.
