P.S. I see the grammatical error on the lid, now that the coffee has kicked in, and have let Norman know about it for a fix. He gets a pass, because English is not his first language!

I can't see the error unless it's the title Barnacle Bill, the Sailor. If you go to Wikipedia and see some of the lyrics used in other versions........well, let's just say this record is a var. or variation of the tune and smile.

Excellent observation Peter!

In fact, if we wanted the quote to be historically accurate, it could be changed from "The PhonoWorks Talking Machine Records were awarded the great prize at the Paris Exposition of 1900..." to "would have been awarded...". A true quote, for had PhonoWorks Talking Machine Records been around at the turn of the 20th century, their indestructible and high quality recordings would most certainly have been awarded such prize!!!

We've solved it. Not gonna say how.

The box label wording is similarly altered, to be accurate (and hopefully a little bit amusing).

Cool! Looking forward to seeing the new wording... and especially looking forward to the release of this "21st Century Record".

Friends, after a long, long delay and four faulty galvanic master molds, I am happy to announce that mold no. 5 turned out nicely. I just received a first sample of the actual production for approval and the final cylinders are now being made at this very moment.

It will likely take until the first week of June until I get them but the time of unclear delays is definitely over and everyone who participated during the funding period will be served first, of course.

Thank you all for your pro-longed patience!

Here are two photos of the actual cylinder:

I've heard it, and the sound quality is remarkably good. Thanks to everyone who stepped up and committed to this project.

Hi Peter,
Will Norman also make this available on a standard Edison cylinder?
Thanks,
John

Nope, because the whole point of this was to make an eminently listenable 3-minute 6" record, and so the selection was chosen by length as well as content.

True, but it would also be eminently listenable on a 4 minute cylinder as well on the disc. It possibly could also be more bucks for the bang for our very good friend Norman.
Cheers! :o
