Yes, Edison House was the main company that produced and sold phonographic material, founded and in 1900 by Fred Figner who knew the Phonograph years before and brought the novelty to Brazil.

My Edison Triumph model A came from Brazil. I wonder if it came from this store, it was made previous to 1903, as it has sharp corners.

Curious because he traveled twice, left there and came to Brazil and returned when he bought back. If it came new here in 1900 it is almost certain that left this store for some Brazilian customer, I have a Standard that occurred this, was marketed in this store and now it is with me. Casa Edison was a great record company of national records as well, used the Zon-o-phone seals and then Odeon, in the beginning, they made the recordings here in Brazil and were produced in Germany, then started to produce here, as in several record companies that existed around here.

I have a friend that lives in São Paulo and a number of years ago he brought me an album of Brazilian 78s. I thought it might be interesting here. I had almost forgotten I had these records. I will record them one day soon and put them up on YouTube.

The case is from Casa do Disco in Sao Paulo

When it was in better shape it had snaps that kept the album closed.

Here is an example of a record. The album contains 10 records but has room for 11.

How cool, we have a lot of albums around here. As for the album, it's Argentino, a tango, he was more successful in Spanish-speaking countries, here in Brazil we heard other types of music, but it is interesting.
