Victor Talking Machine Company records

Post by Tmahan72 »

I was at a local consignment shop today and found mixed in with the records, a box set of 78 RPM shellac Victor records for my Victrola in what's appears to be unplayed condition in s 3 record album which simply says To Mother on the cover. Any idea the era and what it's worth? Inside are 3, 2 sided, Victor records.

Records such as the one in the light, by the Victor Salon Orchestra, are common and not worth much.

Era is post 1914, maybe late 'teens.

That record of Long Long Ago was made in 1926, I'd say the album is about the same age.
You'd buy the album at a Victor dealer & select the records to give as a gift. Based on the titles these records are the original selection. None of them are of great value but this is rather sweet & I'd have snapped it up myself.

They were all in unplayed condition. Not a single scratch. I paid 25 cents for the set. Obviously they didnt know or appreciate what they had
