A Visit From St. Nicholas played on a Queen Anne Victrola

Post by oldphonographsteve »

I thought I would share a fantastic record I found in a collection I bought a couple months ago; perfect for the holiday season.
The speaker is Harry E. Humphrey, and the laugh he does as St. Nicholas is... interesting.
It's played on a 1910 Victrola XIV, notable for those queen anne legs! Merry Christmas everybody! :D

There's one I haven't heard before! Thanks for sharing it and love the early XIV, I have one in Oak that is one of my favorite machines. Humphrey sure does have a rather evil laugh!

I do, ironically, it came from the original house just up the road from me. I lucked into it.
