CEMENT MIXER by Charlie Barnett - Swing

Post by CDBPDX »

Apparently, Slim Gaillard was not the only one to cover CEMENT MIXER. Here is a really swinging version by Charlie Barnett from 1946. Enjoy!

That brings back memories of me as child in the 60's watching I Dream Of Jeanie.
An episode were a card-shark gangster has Major Nelson in a tight spot and starts singing Cement Mixer to himself, to give the Major a warning. The Major say "That's an old song." And the gangster replies "It's coming back!"

Here's Liberachi with Cement Mixer...

Steve Allen similarly did this with song...
