Adopt-A-Disc (Hot DD's & early 7")

Post by donniej »

Folks,
The following discs are in my possession and some are extraordinarily hard to find or significant recordings, which I'm anxious to return to their owners ASAP. Molding this many represents a huge expense and I'm asking for help. If you see a disc you'd like, and are willing to pay with a month-ish lead-time then it will help me to order the silicone required to mold these. Some of these discs we will never have the chance to see again unless their molded!

Diamond Disc
Five Foot Two Eyes of Blue
St Louis Blues
Black Bottom Stomp
If I'm Wrong, Sue Me
We All Scream for Ice Cream
Looking at the World through Rose Colored Glasses
Up And At Em
You're the cream in my Coffee
You DOn't Like it - Not Much
Missouri Squabble
When the Red Red Robbin Comes Bob Bob Bobbin Along

Berliner - Euro
Le Fu Rire (To Giggle, a laughing song). VERY early European disc (1898)
Bronislaw Huberman - Violin solo (!!!!!!!!!)

Berliner - US
She Was There - Will Denny
A Hot Time in the Old Town - Dan Quinn
Whistling Mike - John Terrell (Irish song)
The Seraph - W. Paris Chamle

7" Victor
Starts and Stripes Forever March - Sousa
Washington Post March - Sousa
March From the Ameer (Eldridge Johnson label)
Bedelia - Arthur Pryor's Band
Grounds Serenade - Mme. Rosalia Chalia (Eldridge Johnson label)
Uncle Josh Weatherby in a Department Store - Cal Stewart
Uncle Josh Weatherby's Trip to Coney Island - Cal Stewart

7" Columbia
Reuben Haskin's Ride on a Cyclone Auto - L. Spencer
The Sidewalks of New Yorl
On Such a Business (Comic Hebrew Duet)

I wouldn't mind seeing "Black Bottom Stomp", and "You're the Cream in My Coffee", as well as "Hot Time in the Old Town". Tell me what that comes to, and I'll pre-order them.

If Black Bottom Stomp is the Red and Miff's Stompers version, I'd be interested in a 2-sided copy. The other side, Hurricane, is a seriously hot record!

I would lend you my copy of Stampede/Alabama Stomp in exchange, but it's not mint. PM me if interested.

I'd like to get a copy of a record you don't have yet, but if someone could loan you a copy of Black Bottom, the dance hit by Harold Stern and his Hotel Belleclaire Orch. 51815, not to be confused with Black Bottom Stomp, which is a number by Jelly Roll Morton, I'd like a copy.

Donnie--I would be interested in the following:
Five Foot Two Eyes of Blue
St Louis Blues
We All Scream for Ice Cream
Looking at the World through Rose Colored Glasses
When the Red Red Robbin Comes Bob Bob Bobbin Along
AND if you do the suggested copies of the hit song Black Bottom from Diamond Disc.
Also--are there any 52000 series diamond discs that you produced that I was not aware of. I seem to get your lists in bits and pieces.
