The Man Who Comes Around

Post by travisgreyfox »

I thought this Tommy Tucker song was very suggestive (and funny) for its time (1939). Vocals by Kerwin Somerville.

... When I grow to be a man, I don't want to be, a butcher or a baker, no siree, don't want to be a lawyer, with an office downtown. I just want to be; the man that comes around.

I've committed the entire song to memory years ago. Too funny. :)

BTW, my copy is by the Sweet Violet Boys.

I just received a copy of this record and love it. :rose:
Note that it was re-recorded on Columbia red label and it is not as good as the Vocation release. :coffee:
