WANTED: Spanish/Cuban 78 rpm records

Post by apruizii »

I am interested in pre-1930 Spanish/Cuban records recorded with the Edison, Victor, Columbia, Brunswick, etc. labels. I would assume Spanish/Hispanic singers, orchestras, etc. recorded with these record companies both in the US and overseas. I would appreciate any feedback from forum members knowledgeable on this subject.

I'm especially interested in Colombian (as in the country of "Colombia") music records recorded with the Victor label with the following artists:

1910 - 1919
Arthur Pryor's Band
Emilio Murillo
Emilia Sánchez
Floro Zorrilla Y Juan Cruz
Benincore - Gómez - Lozano Con La Orquesta Unión Musical
Pocholo Y Cavanzo
Orquesta Rodríguez
Victor Orchestra
Lionel Belasco

1919
Alejandro Wills
Alberto Escobar
Miguel Bocanegra

During 1920 - 1928
Orquesta Nacional
Margarita Cueto Y Carlos Mejía
Carlos Mejía
Briceño Y Añez
Estudiantina Añez
Los Hermanos Hernández
Juan Pulido
Arpa Colombiana (Colombian Harp)

I would appreciate any feedback from someone having any of these type of records!!

Thanks,

AR

If you're interested in earlier recordings, I have some reproductions of Berliners from Madrid, Barcelona and other early labels of Mme. Chalia. PM me if you're interested. Thanks.
