Weary Blues and You're Driving Me Crazy by Louis Armstrong

Post by melvind »

I was so pleased with how this transfer came out of Weary Blues (1927) I decided to share it here. A really fun tune on a Vocalian record. It is paired with You're Driving Me Crazy (1930). From what I can tell both of these were released separately on various labels both in the USA and Europe and then together on the Vocalian label. I don't think the recording of You're Driving Me Crazy is as well recorded, but both are pretty fun to hear.

Pops could swing you into bad health, Pops, with a bowl of red beans and rice on the side.

Those are late 1930s repressings, very likely from original Okeh masters. There is a blue and gold version of that label.
