A bolero would be more suitable, tangos are for July 09th, Argentina's independence day ...
Or try Cielito Lindo, Mexico's most famous song

Re: Cinco De Mayo Tango Records
I play my Mexican disc and cylinders regularly.
Today is a good day as well, starting with a 2 minute Amberol.
On May 5, 1862, the outnumbered Mexican army victoriously defeated the French at Puebla, securing their land and their freedom. This day in history and is known as “La Batalla de Puebla”. This victory is what's celebrated in Mexico.
In the US, the victorious battle that kept Mexico independent is mistakingly called an independence day. Maintaining independence is the root of Cinco De Mayo, and we here celebrate Mexican-American pride and culture, and that's cool with me!
Another cool thing. This Mexican win is significant to the United States of America for keeping the French from potentially establishing a supply line to the Confederate Army.
