mid 40's Hollywood record label - Jump

I had an interesting conversation at a yard sale with an older couple. I was asking for 78’s and they told me that a few months ago they sold a collection of 2000 discs, ranging from the 1920’s to 1950’s. Her father was the owner of Jump records. We talked a little more, they had contacted the Smithsonian and a curator of music came to look at eighteen corresponding Mothers, Masters and Records from Jump. The museum is going to acquire these artifacts. You never know who you will meet and the interesting stories they have to share.

It sure would’ve been nice to have a set to display in my home!

That's really neat! In the photo, I think I can make out "AB SHOP PRESSING" impressed in the label area. Any idea what that was about? Very cool find!

It's hard to see in the photo. What it says is "A BISHOP PRESSING".
