Hi, I have recently seen these two Maori 78s and have never come across any before ! Can anyone give me any info on them - the internet seems to say they are rare. Any idea of approximate value ?
Many thanks

Re: Maori records
I have several of them (including one or two doubles somewhere) but I don't recall seeing that beautiful sleeve before. I would say they are moderately scarce (not rare) but there may be rarer titles amongst them, and of course very few of those sleeves will have survived!

It makes you wonder what sort of a journey these have had from being recorded in 1927 in New Zealand to turning up in the UK 91 years later !

Not to mention they were pressed in Australia along the way!Gramtastic wrote:It makes you wonder what sort of a journey these have had from being recorded in 1927 in New Zealand to turning up in the UK 91 years later !
