At the APS show dinner, John Levine talked about the attempt to restore 8 Victor Artists. The big problem was they couldn't find the film, but had the soundtrack. So APS members put a slide show together with the soundtrack. Then he showed an excellent quality Ben Pollack movie from 1929 showing a young 19 year old Benny Goodman and Jack Teagarden. Here are some clips, but Youtube quality does not do them justice:

It was super cool, and John did an outstanding job of presenting the story in an informative, concise, and humorous way. His talk alone was worth the trip.
