This is one of those great old records that still makes me smile, played on an Amberola 30 that is still in need of quite a few parts but it just about manages to play still!

It plays well. Even with the missing parts. My first 30 was like this with an external speed knob too. It was missing the case though. I had rigged up a pine wooden block stand for it with the horn sometimes suspended below and sometimes above, old Erector set parts did come in handy! For those across the pond the AC Gilbert Erector set was similar to the Meccano building sets.

The humor in this goofy old record is the mental equivalent of slapstick comedy--a blend of surprising and predictable, and always refreshing! Now I need to go find a copy.
