Here is a slightly new take on a famous early twentieth-century song celebrating the successful arrival of our 1902 Curved Dash Oldsmobile last Sunday at the end of the 2018 London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.

Congratulations on completing the run. Where did you find those ladies?

Re: In my merry Oldsmobile.............
Many thanks Roger and the ladies were retained by part-sponsors Bonhams to entertain the crowds after the event. They were wandering around and singing contemporary songs but I was amazed when I asked them if they knew the Oldsmobile song and they said they had just learned it in the last two weeks ! They are clearly a very clever and talented trio who appear in many different character guises for various events but I had not come across them before.
The car was very well driven (and prepared) by two friends who had never done the run before---or even driven a veteran car ! Although the mileage (60 or so) does not sound very great, it is actually a considerable challenge to drive a car made 116 years ago on today's roads completely full of traffic. The modern motorist has little understanding of the many difficulties, dangers and requirements.

I have posted these rather tongue in cheek photos before but they might be appropriate here ?
The EMG connection is rather tenuous and head-winds are to be avoided !
It is important to have fun and not to take life too seriously perhaps...........?
