Demand for Country Music on Diamond Disc

Post by donniej »

I recently came into the disc in the video below.... 52650 (second to last DD!) - "She's Old and Bent (But She Keeps Hoofin Along)". I personally enjoy these early hillbilly recordings but does anyone else? More to the point, if I make copies of such discs, would anyone buy them? If so, then what would you like to see made available?

PS. The surface noise and recording quality on this disc is amazing!

This isn't really hillbilly. Johnny Marvin was from Oklahoma. Music is western 'cowboy' style.

There's some real 'hillbilly' music from the 1920's on the lateral cut records that is rarer and possibly desireable.
