I just made a transfer of this 4-sided recording (finally). My copy is pretty mint, so I was able to transfer it essentially unfiltered/unprocessed.
It really helps to hear it without side-breaks, though it still is no Rhapsody in Blue!
Recorded: NY, 13 March 1928 (43141-4, 43142-4, 43143-4, 43144-3)

It might not be the Rhapsody, but the Rhapsody didn't have BIX!!!beaumonde wrote:I just made a transfer of this 4-sided recording (finally). My copy is pretty mint, so I was able to transfer it essentially unfiltered/unprocessed.

Nice transfer. These records seem to be very rare and hard to find. Congrats on having such a nice clear set to record. It is nice to hear, but you are correct that is is no Rhapsody in Blue. Still, I am happy to have heard it transferred well.
