pink lamberts?

Post by djacobsen1 »

Hello, was recently at a estate sale, I bought a bag of what I thought to be edison cylinders. In the bag where 4 pink cylinders. After looking around the internet I believe these may be very rare and valuable. Can anyone help me with what these are worth? Thanks!

You're right, they are pink Lambert Records. I'll let the experts chime in on value.

If you're reselling the regular Edison cylinders, let me know...but I am going to say I can't afford Lambert records! Those are hen's-teeth rare and beautiful to look at and hear.

Accidentally buying pink Lamberts? What next? Someone picks up a box of 45's off Craigslist that turns out to be Berliners?

All pink Lamberts have good value but titles could make a dramatic difference as well as condition.

One of my collector friends did exactly that. Rummaging through a box of 45rpm singles at a car boot sale, he found a few Berliners mixed in with them. I should be so lucky!

The least I have paid for a pink Lambert was about $100. Most sell for considerably more. The only recent sale on eBay was $250. Price depends on title and artist. I can't read any of the titles, but if you post them, we can probably give more info.

As mentioned condition and title will have an effect on the price. As you see the top rims have faded from being exposed to the elements. This is very common with Pink Lambert’s when not kept in their boxes. I would say a fair starting price would be $175 to $200 depending on title.

Here’s a picture of some I bought several years ago that were still in their original boxes and had never been played.
