Oliver B. Green

Post by Victrolacollector »

I found a brownish wax record in some cylinders I bought years ago and played it. It had a introduction by someone about Oliver B. Green. It sounded like a religious recording. Not much on there it ended abruptly.

That’s a very late home-recorded cylinder - Greene was ordained a minister in 1939 and his radio ministry didn’t really get started til after WW2. A quick search on Duck Duck Go reveals a Wikipedia page for him, the home page for his radio ministry and the like...

Edit: Or are you saying you found a disk recording? If so, I misunderstood!

It’s a brown wax 2 minute record, thanks for sharing, it is probably a home recording someone made, unless it was made by him directly. In any event it’s a home recording.
