I found this really great copy of The Varsity Drag recently and I am very pleased with how the transfer turned out. Great sound, a great performance, and just an all around fun tune from the 1927 hit Broadway Musical "Good News". And a piece of trivia for the Pacific Northwest, George Olsen got his start in Portland, Oregon. So, for me, a lifelong Oregon resident, lots of fun.

This was a good seller for Victor. George Olsen had a bunch of good selling records on Victor in the time period. Thanks for the upload.

Love this one! Found a copy in a junk box, not as nice as yours but still very playable

Definitely a quintessential 1920s song up there with “Five Foot Two Eyes Of Blue” and “The Charleston” I only have the Cass Hagan version on Columbia though.

I have it by Jack Hylton on HMV B5506, a straight orchestral version.
George Olsen's recording of "The girl in the little green hat" is on my wanted list.
