Nice find

Post by stetam »

OK, so last week I picked up around 2,000 78's from a local record store for $75. I'm about a third of the way through sorting them out and figured I could make at least 10 times what I paid by selling the better ones. Today I found many excellent condition Billy Murray, Ada Jones and Peerless Quartet so I was happy, but I had to smile a little wider when I pulled this one out of the jacket.

The spindle wear on the copy of Sing, Sing, Sing casts doubt on you being able to receive 75 times what you paid for it. How does it play ?

With all the records I pulled to sell I can make at least 10x what I paid. Now there are many records I am keeping also. And the copy of Sing, Sing, Sing plays like new.

It is a very nice disc, but not too hard to find- it was part of the "Symposium of Swing" album
