This song from 1951 by Bill Haley many consider to be the first rock and roll recording. I found this excellent copy of it this weekend on my way back from my cabin at a flea market for $2

Neat.
Haley's version is just a bit wan compared to the Jackie Brenston (with Ike Turner) that many regard as the first R & R song, Haley's is a cover of course. But it's a gasser alright !

I was a "serious" Haley collector for many years and I can tell you I paid waaayy more than $2 for my copy of this!
