EDISON AMBEROL 4 MINUTE CYLINDER cleaning

Post by fmblizz »

Are EDISON AMBEROL 4 MINUTE CYLINDERs and Edison 2 minute cleaned the same way using Labtone? The cylinders seem very different in their composition so I was not sure. I picked up a batch of 4 min Amberols recently that need to be cleaned. Luckly there doesn't appear to be mold involved.

Thanks in advance

A soft damp cloth and water takes off the haze.

Just be careful cleaning these even with a damp cloth, as the 4 minute Amberols are infamous for being extremely brittle. I once broke one doing just that, sometimes the slightest pressure is too much. I swear that even the difference in temperature from sticking your fingers inside them to transport the cylinder can crack them if your fingers are in there for too long.
