Looking for someone to rebuild Pathé Actuelle diffusor/reproducer.
I bought a gothic looking Pathé actuelle today. Who rebuilds the reproducers/diffusors on these machines. I want to get it sorted out and back in prime shape..

I've heard of Japanese rice paper being used to repair these. But beyond that , my knowledge is sparse.

Fix it yourself... Disassemble the ring around the cone/diffusor and remove the paper cone (or what's left of it)... Be careful to keep it as complete as possible, so you have a pattern to make a new one. Go to an office supply store and have them laminate a blank piece of paper large enough to trace the pattern on. Cut it out and replace the old paper cone with the new, exactly the way you removed it.
I made a number of Polly Portable replacement oscillators using this method and they work better than the originals. I also think Tyvek would work, if you can find some without printing...
