I have those books and the history of Vitaphone, but the photos do not show the linkage between the arm and the reproducer in detail. I am not sure how to connect the arm and spring. It didn’t look right when I got the machine.

I understand, Bill. Asking for detailed photos of the linkage (or other details) is perfectly understandable. My post was directed to those who have never even heard of a Vitaphone before.
