Help needed: restoring cloth album covers
Some have water stains, some with mold, etc. Is there a way to clean them up, restoring some of the original color. I realize that they will never be like new, but just wondered if there are any tips in restoring these albums. Thanks.

Re: Help needed: restoring cloth album covers
exept from collecting phono's i also restore antique books
it depends how bad the stains and mold are if the mold is through and through its over and done mold shortens the fibers of the cardboard so it will become brittle and its also a health hazzard
if the damage is minor and the album is a offbrand than i would sugest re-lining it with bookcloth(and not the sticky tape version please) re-touching often only makes it worse or leave it as is
also some foto's would help to see what the damage realy is
the foto below might be what your aming for
greetings tino
