How to readjust Brunswick auto shut off?

Help.. I have ask this before but can't recall the answer.. I have had Brunswicks where the last groove absolutely stopped the record as it should. I also have one like now where it is off and you have to guess at setting it inside on the blank area (without the shut off grooves) to make it hopefully stop, but most of the time it ends up not shutting off or ending the record too quickly. I just don't see what is the adjustment to get it where you want it to stop. I am not talking about the way in which you bring the arm forward to set the brake, I mean the mechanical adjustment to calibrate that arm with the actual shut off? Anyone had any success at this?
