How do the columbia floating style recorders sound?

I am interested in buying one but I would like to know what kind of recording do they make?

you never hear much about them.

They play any type of Cylinder. That's brown wax, black wax, or indestructible. Properly tuned, they sound great. They are popular for the early brown wax records. Remember, they are only for 2 min. records.
