BC Graphophone Mandrel

Hi All
Just rebuilding my BC machine. The mandrel shaft has 2 size diameter washers and the small brass gear. Can someone tell me the order of washers/gear. There also seems to be a lot of sideways movement when installed . Is this normal? Please can anyone measure the gap between the end of mandrel and black frame.
