I collected the Model A yesterday and set it up this morning. The sound quality is impressive.

The Serial Number is 30360. Is it possible to date the machine from this?

I believe phonogfp has access to a list of factory release dates.

Not for the Spring Motor/Triumph. But I can estimate that No.30360 left the factory during the last quarter of 1901. Sorry I can't be more specific at this point.

Thank you George. The latest patent date on the ID plate is 31 May 1898. I am still discovering the machine's strengths and weaknesses, and will probably have more questions in the near future, but meanwhile here are some pictures :

Very nice looking outfit. The #11 Cygnet is not an easy horn to find. I like that Nipper is there to prevent any problems between the disc and cylinder machines. :)
