My previous thread showed the Pathé-tic Rooster that I got on eBay and showed the problem areas... http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... =7&t=32254
After several weeks of messing around and having problems with the original epoxy putty that didn't harden, I removed the restorations and re-did them with something that hardened perfectly. He has now been restored, leaving the majority of the original paint which was intact. I custom mixed some artists colors and matched the original red color of the feathers on the body. Unfortunately, because of the damage to the legs, they had to be totally repainted. The only thing left to do is wait several days for the paint to completely dry and over coat it with matte finish clear lacquer...
Now for his debut...

That is a really spectacular restoration Curt. It looked pretty rough when you started and it is now really spectacular.

Thanks for all of the nice comments... Believe me when I say that I had some second thoughts as I opened the box when he arrived. It took some mental planning and as he came back from the dead, I was glad to be able to save him...

Astounding! It turned out better than I would have expected. You have a lot to be proud of with this restoration. A nice piece for any phonograph collection!
