Very nice indeed. I would think that anyone would be proud to have it in their phonograph display area.

Curt. you did an outstanding job restoring this. Like the other posters said, you should be proud of yourself. You have a fantastic addition to your collection.

Great job restoring. Some people have the patience to do a perfect job. I am not one of those. Are you going to display it on one of the Pathé machines???. Tom B

Tom,
I have one Pathé cylinder machine that plays salon and regular cylinders which turns into a small decorative box when the motor board is flipped over as the lid. I am also purchasing a Coquette model from Brandon, so the rooster will have some familiar company...

Strangely enough, I know where there is another one nearby. Apparently there are at least two versions of the rooster. Mine says Pathé DISC on the base and the rooster appears to be standing on a record. The other version is one that says "No More Needles To Change" around the base, like the one pictured below. The one near me is like the one below in an old hardware store on top of a nail bin, painted flat black and partially damaged. I have tried my darnedest to buy that rooster, but they believe it came with a sewing needle display from back in the early days of the store...
