Aeolian Graduola quick fix

Looking at an old broken tone arm base, where it would mount to the horn. the red rubber gasket was falling apart. I noticed how similar the shape was to a toilet flapper valve. Bought one at my local Value Hardware store (Fluidmaster 504) just for giggles. Trimmed to the approximate size and installed. Replaced the tone arm and started up a record. When the lid was shut, there was a nice change in volume when the Graduola was activated. It didn't appear to loose any volume when the Graduola was not extended and in use. Now I can demonstrate the Aoelian engineering.
