Cleaning Nipper or Nipper's Spa Day

Post by Jerry B. »

I picked up a paper mâché 14" Old King Cole Nipper last week and today I gave him a good cleaning. It was quick and simple thanks to a tip from Nipper expert Joan Rolfs. She suggested using an old tooth brush, a bar of Ivory soap, and a sponge. I got the tooth brush damp, rubbed it on the Ivory soap, and worked on a small area. Once satisfied, I cleaned the area with a damp sponge. I cleaned a fairly small area and sponged to remove any dirt and soap. I probably have an hour invested in the cleaning. The trick is to work on a small area with out getting it really wet and wiping with the damp sponge.

Jerry,
You must be trying to break into Nipper Heaven. How many of those guys do you have now?

Very nice Nipper Jerry, but he looks kinda lonely all alone on that coffee table.

Great job, Jerry. i remember you restored a 14" paper mache Nipper, and he came out great. Now you need to give him a pedicure. Then he will be one happy puppy. :D

Jerry,

I see that you did the right thing, and only gave that dirty dog a gentle cleaning!
