What type/grade of oil for Garrard oil bath motor?

Post by barnettrp21122 »

Hello again:
The Garrard Number 7a motor I have has an oil bath reservoir, long dried up. What grade and type oil should be used?
The photo below shows the wick and pad with the cover removed (with motor upside down).
Hope someone has some good info! Thanks.

Thanks Epigramophone! The link was just what I was looking for!
I've since realized my motor isn't strictly the oil-bath kind, but the lubricants recommended should work just fine.
