Edison Horn Grill Finials WERE Missing Until This!!!
Yes, I used my oven-bake clay method once again! My Edison A100 was missing the 2 top finials on the horn grill. Made a mold out of oven bake clay and baked. Then made the finials out of the same clay, baked, and stained! Not too bad! I also used this method with my Credenza horn cover for which you can see in my other post!
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

Great replacement. Looks like the composite wood used back in the day!

Fantastic! Excellent idea and results.
Unrelated, but look at the beautiful graining on the side posts of that A-100. Such a smart looking little machine. The early cabinets were of excellent quality.

Ribbon or flame mahogany?
Sometimes I'm very tempted to strip down my XIV-E and refinish it just to see what mahogany machines looked like new...bet they were prettier than we think!
