Edison Horn Grill Finials WERE Missing Until This!!!

Yes, I used my oven-bake clay method once again! My Edison A100 was missing the 2 top finials on the horn grill. Made a mold out of oven bake clay and baked. Then made the finials out of the same clay, baked, and stained! Not too bad! I also used this method with my Credenza horn cover for which you can see in my other post!

Thanks! I wasnt able to find a close enough match and have used clay on my other horn repairs!

Fantastic! Excellent idea and results.

Unrelated, but look at the beautiful graining on the side posts of that A-100. Such a smart looking little machine. The early cabinets were of excellent quality.

Thanks I agree. I know its Mahogany but with those markings makes you think its another type of wood lol.

Ribbon or flame mahogany?

Sometimes I'm very tempted to strip down my XIV-E and refinish it just to see what mahogany machines looked like new...bet they were prettier than we think!

I agree. I just completed my VV-XVI. A lot of work but so much fun lol.
