You just need to apply the heat for probably less than a minute, more like 20 seconds or less. Only enough to melt old oil and grease. You really can't do any harm with propane for such a short time and relatively low heat. We're not looking for red hot here. Let us know how it's going.ReverendC wrote:Haven't tried heating it up. That's great news! Did the turn table come off the spindle, or did you get the spindle out of the motor with the turn table still on it?

Table came off the spindle. Wasn't able to get the brass gear to slide off.

I have at least two turn tables that I have not been able to remove. Then it dawned on me that as long as I don't need to why worry. So have left well enough alone. That sometimes is the hardest thing to do. Let go. Don't worry. Leave it alone. ha ha and don't lose sleep. Now if I had to repair something I'd work at it. For now I rest easy. Neil
