Trial By Fire: Part 2
Well, after a lot of torching, banging, and blaspheming, one tiny screw started to budge, and, at long last, I got the mandrel shaft out.
I don't know whether I want to try the carriage shaft, though; the bolt on the endgate has still not budged (I had to take a file to the mangled slot). The only inconvenience there will be when I apply the pinstriping; that casting is going to need some touch-up on the paint, anyway.
This concludes the disassembly thread; now on to other things.
